Dawn on Wednesday 28 September will see 6,000 additional commuters taking to London and Stoke-on-Trent’s streets in the form of miniature ceramic figures created by artist Lawrence Epps and distributed by Sykey to celebrate the British Ceramics Biennial 2011.
The public are encouraged to handle and take away the figures for their own enjoyment. Responses and images of the work can be seen and shared throughout the British Ceramics Biennial at www.sykey.org and followed on twitter #littleclaymen.
This public art event, supported by the British Ceramics Biennial, accompanies the exhibition of Lawrence Epps’ ‘Human Resources’ installation at the Biennial’s Fresh exhibition at the original Spode factory site from 30 September to 13 November 2011.
